Ambition is something that every living organism has. A tree has the ambition to grow tall, spread its roots far and wide and probably shelter many weary travellers. An ant aims to just work away all summer so that there will be enough for her when winter arrives so that the ant-family is well cared for and well-fed. A flower, the sea, the sun, the earth, animals, insects, amoebae..I think they all have some goal to achieve and hold some semblance of ambition in them. Similarly it would be redundant and boring to talk about humans having ambition, because for our generation its the air that we breathe. Without it we would all just be hippies, wasting our lives and be a burden to mankind. (No offence to hippies, just think that everyone turning into one would be a problem. How would all the work in this world get done?!)
Competition is a recurring word in our verbal dictionaries and without ambition there would be no fuel to the fire. To be ambitious you need sheer guts, grit and a love to succeed in whatever it is that you choose to do or be. With these in your kitty, you can go out and win the world. Good on ya! :)
